  1. I am facilitating and serving as a host on Saturday Mornings at our church for quests using our gym. So far we have served on three Saturday mornings with having two leaders from the church in attendance welcoming guests, offering hot/cold drink and donut holes. We are also sharing information about the church and inviting them to join us on Sunday mornings to worship with us. We have found that when it is the younger children present with their parents and grandparents we get much more lively conversation and fellowship than on the Saturday morning when it was middle school aged children and parents. The social dynamics are very interesting but in all cases if we make the first step towards them and welcome them and offer a treat it breaks the ice and conversation is started. All guests have expressed gratitude and warmth toward the hosting and many offer donations of a quarter, dollar, or the like. We inform them all that there is no donation and we just want them to know how much we welcome them to our church and are glad to see them using the gym and having fun. This is a fun time of serving others once we get there. Why is it always so hard to get started or to step out....?? I will try to get some photos next time and post for all to see the excitement and fun time.
